Watermelon Redux

The first of the hiatus catch-up posts.

I finished these last week – another pair of socks for the Bee, using up the second skein of KnitPicks Essential in this colorway. The colorway is named Tuscany, but the Bee calls them watermelon socks. These were knit on 2.25mm circulars – US size 1, and are a pretty standard toe up sock. Turkish cast-on toe, standard (if upside down) heel flap heel, and then ribbing up the ankle. They work up quickly, especially in the children’s size – this pair took four days.

  1. Thanks! She does like them. There’s a pair queued to knit for her that is actually watermelon patterned – red and green with black duplicate stitch seeds. I just need to accumulate the right yarns for it — those are going to be crazy cute.
