And it’s only taken me 395 days to finish the 36 repeats on the body of the scarf. Ha! Next up, it’s getting a wave pattern edging that I am totally stealing from Eunny’s amazing stole.
Just to refresh everyone’s memory, Stella Maris is the lace scarf project I started as my Lolita project for Knit the Classics, back in August of ’06. At the time I made a starkly honest assessment of my skills, and predicted likely failure to knit lace. Well, I haven’t failed. Yet.
This may be because I’ve avoided knitting this.
Tomorrow I’ll break out the pattern and instructions I have for the edging – I hope I have enough yarn left.
It is so beautiful, even if it takes another 3 years, i think it’s worth it. Don’t give up!
Beautiful!
