The Orphan Foundation of America has recently changed the details of of the Red Scarf Project – apparently last year knitters swamped them with over 15,000 scarves! The mailing dates are now Sept. 1st through October 15th 2007 , and they are also actively soliciting cash donations to cover their mailing costs — once they have the scarves they still need to ship them! Please, no more then five scarves from any one person or organization — I plan to donate five bucks for shipping costs for each scarf I send them.
Norma is still doing the good work over at the Red Scarf Project Blog 2008 – she’ll post your scarf pics if you send them to her, and last year there were cool contests and things too! She’s also hosting a contest just for cash donors on her regular blog.
