While I struggle with the great centered double decrease quandary, I am knitting little things.
This is an Open Star facecloth, pattern from the Dishcloth Boutique. I’m not sure why it’s named Open Star – it really doesn’t look much like stars at all, I think. It is knit in purple and white Cotton Fizz, a mixed cotton/wool yarn, on size 8 needles. I like the cotton/wool mix for face cloths – it gives them a nice soft feel, softer then straight cotton. Sadly, I think this yarn is discontinued – I snagged this skein of it last year in the 75% off bin at my LYS. Sadly, this is the last of the skein. 😦
I also knit a couple more tesselating fish. There is a third blue fish about somewhere – but I can’t find it, and may have to deem it lost if it doesn’t turn up soon. It is my intention to make an afghan of these – I am trying very hard not to think about the fact that I will need 150 fish for an afghan. A link to the fish pattern can be found in the side bar. These are being worked in Mission Falls 1824 Superwash wool, on size 8 needles.
cool fish, nice to see another mad knitter aiming at a school of fish!
do you think the cat got the missing blue one?
Love to see the fish progress!! I am up to 20 now. I only need 8 for a baby blanket…8 more!!!
