No page count to report for today, or yesterday. I’ve been thinking a lot about the freewriting exercise I did on monday, and about how to plan this year in writing for myself.
My general BIW goals are pretty simple – read more, write some poetry, participate in the group — I want a more specific manuscript goal for the group, though, so I don’t approach the beginning of each month wondering “what should I work on?”
The general guideline is that BIW is for new content – not revising, not planning or plotting – just raw words on paper. I think what I want to do is come up with a “bad book” idea, so that I have something to write during BIW that I don’t feel overwhelmed by the need to do “right”.
