TeaBird says I can consider myself tagged, so I shall.
1 – One book that changed my life.
‘The Complete Art of WitchCraft’ by Sybil Leek. The book that first introduced me to Wicca, and to the idea that there were any faiths at all other then that which I had been raised in.
2 – One book you’ve read more then once.
Only one? How to choose… ‘The Time Travellers Wife’ by Audrey Niffenegger. An absolutely amazing novel, with writing that just bowls me over every time I read it.
3 – One book I’d want on a desert island.
The single volume would be my collected works of shakespeare.
4 – One book that made me laugh.
The only book that has ever made me laugh out loud is ‘The Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy’, by Douglas Adams.
5 – One book that made me cry.
‘Where the Red Fern Grows’ by Wilson Rawls.
6 – One book I wish I had written.
‘The Lovely Bones’ by Alice Sebold.
7 – One book you wish had never been written.
I can’t think of a one for this – certainly I haven’t read any book that I think shouldn’t have been written. A fair number I wish I hadn’t read – but none that I think shouldn’t have been written.
8 – One book you’re currently reading.
‘Coastliners’ by Joanne Harris. I’ve only just gotten this from the library, and haven’t actually started reading it yet.
9 – One book you’ve been meaning to read.
‘Leviathan’ by Thomas Hobbes. It’s been on my shelf for years, and once in a while I pick it up, read the first page, and then get distracted.
The #6 over at bloglily reads “One book you wish had been written.” What would be your answer?
